Mrs. Raines Physical Science Page

 

 All materials needed for this course are housed in the student's Google classroom or henry connects.  Assignments over new content will have a video lesson (or live lesson), guided notes, and one or two practice assignments.   Some assignments will also have Google Form openers as well as links to the CFA's (common formative assessments) given through Illuminate.

  • Synchronous Days:  Synchronous learning means that we will learn through scheduled, real-time interactions either by webinar (google meet) or in person at Impact Academy. 
  • Live Virtual Days:  Mondays and Thursdays, following the block schedule using Google Meet, attendance is taken.
  • Optional On-Campus Days:   Wednesdays, following block schedule, Room 1005,  
  • Asynchronous Days:  Asynchronous learning means that you will learn on your own time by accessing the content here and/or on Google Classroom.
    • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Check the Google Classroom and/or henry connects for virtual office hours to get extra help and/or assessment proctoring times
    • Mrs. Raines's open office meeting schedule is in the google classroom header.  Students can drop into the normal class google meet to get assistance with current content or cafe day activities. 
    • Students can schedule one-on-one afternoon tutoring sessions through the booking site linked here.  
    • Tutoring outside the normal school day can be scheduled through e-mail with Mrs. Raines by the student or parent.
