Hello, my name is Merri Champagne and I am very excited to work with each of you to make this year amazing! This will be my ninth year working here at Locust Grove teaching history.
I grew up in Athens, Georgia and after graduating from Cedar Shoals High School, I attended the University of Georgia where I earned two degrees- a Bachelor's of Art in History and a Bachelor's of Science in Social Studies Education. I then went back to my origins and taught World History at Cedar Shoals for a while before moving to Henry County. In 2019, I went back to school myself and earned my Masters of History from the University of West Alabama.
I am very excited about being a part of the LGHS family and look forward to working with all of you this year. Each class has a Google Classroom where I will post everything from notes to assignments to announcements. I do also have a remind where I will send out notices about due dates and tests.
